The purpose of this course was to get people familiar with our learning management system (DART), provide some basic information, answer some frequently asked questions and explain how to accomplish some of the more common tasks. It is posted on the Log On page of our LMS as well as in the Resources section after they log on, making it easy for people to access.
This course was developed using Captivate and the background DART logo was created in Adobe Illustrator.

This is an example of a podcast that we developed. It can be used as a resource on our learning management system or emailed to students after attending a Customer Service training, as a refresher. Once the file is opened, click on the closed captioning button on the control bar to see how the captioning works.
This course was developed using Captivate with a Digital Juice music track as an opener.

This was a video intended to give a high level overview of DART (DSS Automated Registration & Training), our learning management system. Since our LMS offered an automated solution to many of our manual training administration processes, we wanted the video to appear cutting edge and flashy, we wanted to give our audience something they weren't used to seeing from us.
This video was developed using Adobe Premiere, it was shot in front of a green screen that was keyed out and a Digital Juice motion background (which they call Jump Backs) was added. The intro was done using one of the Digital Juice Swipes and a sound effect from the Digital Juice SoundFX library. All text and graphic overlays were done in Premiere.

This is an excerpt from the DSS Telephone Strategies course we developed. It is based on a needs assessment we conducted with our counties and focuses on proper ways to answer the telephone, how to deal with frustrated callers, why it is important not to let personal or work issues affect how you interact with callers and it explains how to take control of the conversation when dealing with talkative callers. The entire course, which takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, is interactive, uses branching and provides feedback to the student.
This course was developed using Captivate, Digital Juice's Juice Drops (still-image background), and sound effects from their SoundFX library. Images used in this and other courses can be purchased at
Clipart.com, this site offers annual subscriptions which allows you to choose from more than 9,000,000 clipart images, photos, illustrations, animations, fonts and sounds and download them to your PC.

This is a Trivia Game template that can be used as a stand alone course, act as an assessment in another course or for review during an instructor-led training. You can easily add or change questions and answers to this course to suit your needs.
This course was developed using Captivate for the content and Digital Juice backgrounds, images and sound effects and music tracks.

This is an animation that we developed with our VCom 3D avatar software. It was created to show an example of the capabilities of the software, to generate interest among our staff and to get ideas about how we could best apply it both inside and outside of the classroom.
Out of the library of 8 avatars, we chose Hiroki as the avatar for this example and used an image of a "filthy kitchen" as Hiroki's background. This was a very brief animation, but it really helps people to understand how effective something can be if they see a finished product. The entire animation took about an hour to complete. Once the animation is completed it can be exported as a movie file. This example is in Quicktime format so you will need to have the
Quicktime player installed to view it.

This was a video we developed, to give an example of how HIPAA compliance training could be delivered to our agency's staff. It also allowed us to introduce the capabilities that we had to produce commercial quality video without picking up a video camera, finding a location, worrying about sound and lighting conditions and recruiting someone who is not camera shy. Since we had a very short period of time to develop this demonstration, we didn't spend a lot of time polishing it up. But we were able to develop this video in just a couple of hours, the same amount of time you would typically spend setting up light, camera and sound equipment.
This video was developed using Sony Vegas, which is what we used prior to Adobe Premiere, and Digital Juice Jumpbacks, Stacks (music track), and stock video footage from the Video Traxx library.

With many of our staff now using laptop computers as opposed to desktops, our IT department asked if we could develop a demonstration course that would inform staff of what a Virtual Private Network was and how to connect to it. Being able to connect to systems that were behind our firewall from outside our organization was a very common question that was asked of our IT department as well as the helpdesk. Since the VPN seemed like a very "techy" topic with a somewhat futuristic name, we decided to create a very unique video, as opposed to a series of screenshots with some voice over.
This video was developed using Adobe Soundbooth for the narration, Adobe Premiere for the video editing with Digital Juice Jumpbacks, Sound FX and Motion Design Elements.
